  1. Information Collected:

    • Listing Information: For each listing, we collect information about the product, including text, images, and any other relevant details.
    • (not collected) Payment Information: Payment transactions are handled through Stripe / PayPal, and we do not store any payment information on our servers.
    • Location Information: We use MaxMind’s City service to detect your country based on your IP address. This information is displayed on your profile and listings for verification purposes and may be used by FurList for statistical purposes.
  2. Usage of Information:
    • We use your email address for account-related communication, such as notifications, updates, and account recovery.
    • Your IP address is stored for security purposes and may be used to block access in the case of a security threat, it will also be used for verifying country location.
    • Location information detected via MaxMind is used to display your country on your profile and listings, verify your country, and for statistical purposes by FurList. This information will not be sold to other parties or used for advertising.
  3. Security Measures:
    • Passwords are securely encrypted to protect your account information.
    • IP addresses are logged for security but are only used for IP blocking in case of a security issue and verifying country location.
  4. Community Guidelines:
    • Listings and accounts must adhere to our community guidelines. Violations may result in the removal or deletion of the offending content or account.
    • Buyers are also required to follow community guidelines.
  5. Moderation and Removal:
    • We reserve the right to remove or delete any listings or accounts that violate community guidelines or for reasons determined at our discretion.
    • Users can report scams, and we will promptly investigate and take appropriate action, including the removal of the product and seller if necessary.
  6. Account suspension
    • If your account is suspended, we reserve the right to keep IP and email connected to your account before suspension for future enforcement of the suspension.
  7. Liability and Responsibilities:
    • We are not responsible for any issues that occur outside our platform. As transactions do not happen directly on the site, we do not manage payments and are not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers.
    • Users can report scams, and we will take appropriate action within the platform’s scope.
  8. Changes to Privacy Policy:
    • We reserve the right to update our privacy policy. Users will be notified of any significant changes.
